Naviatha Abbas is an Articling Student at Snyder & Associates LLP. Naviatha grew up in Kingston, Ontario, and has since lived in several cities, which has given her an adaptable, people-focused approach to her work.
Naviatha holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, with a Specialization in Public Law and Judicial Studies, from McMaster University. Alongside her undergraduate studies, she completed the Real Estate Salesperson Program at Humber College and worked with multiple real estate brokerages across Ontario, gaining early experience in client service and property transactions.
After completing her undergraduate degree, Naviatha earned her Juris Doctor from Osgoode Hall Law School in Toronto. At Osgoode, she was accepted into the Criminal Law Intensive Program and served as a Judicial Intern at the Ontario Court of Justice. She was also involved in student organizations and mooted at Osgoode. During her summers, she worked at a boutique full-service firm in Mississauga.
After graduating, she married an Edmontonian, relocated to Edmonton, and began her articles at Snyder & Associates LLP. At the firm, she supports a broad range of legal matters and maintains a general practice, with a focus on personal injury, civil litigation, and estate matters.
Outside of the office, Naviatha is an avid painter who creates commissioned pieces. She also enjoys hiking, reading, sewing, and staying active. She is committed to her community and volunteers with the Indus Development Foundation and the Muslim Legal Support Centre.
