Dawood Shimza is an Associate at Snyder & Associates LLP, where he maintains a broad corporate-commercial and litigation practice. He advises clients on a wide range of legal matters, including corporate governance, employment law, family law, and civil and criminal litigation, as well as international business transactions.

Dawood obtained his law degree from Queen's University Faculty of Law in Kingston, Ontario, and was called to the bar in 2026. He is a member of both the Law Society of Ontario and the Law Society of Alberta.

Before joining Snyder & Associates LLP, Dawood completed his articles with a full-service law firm in Toronto, where he gained experience across a variety of litigation and corporate matters.

During law school, he worked as a Caseworker with the Queen's Prison Law Clinic, representing incarcerated clients in parole hearings and institutional matters at Millhaven Institution, a maximum-security federal penitentiary. He also served as a Judicial Extern to Judge Mark McConnell of Michigan's 18th District Court in Westland, where he conducted legal research and contributed to the drafting of judicial opinions and memoranda on a variety of civil and criminal matters.

Dawood's avocational interests include golf, basketball, and mixed martial arts. He is also an avid follower of Formula 1 racing.
